Retail customer, business deal.

Hello people,

Wondering if you could help me get my head around the purchasing of my new Navara.
Ordered through a dealership, but the business department, but as a private retail customer paying VAT and quoted as such. Not a company or vat registered but vehicle still qualifies for LGV tax.
I was told during negotiations that despite me being a retail customer, that due to the better business rates I wouldn't qualify for the servicing or finance offers, which with the discount offered and my ability to finance myself wasn't an issue. Now told the 7 days free insurance wouldn't count also (again not a massive issue) but I have paranoid mind and being my first 'business' purchase I wanted to check is this all normal and if there are any other catches, such as will I still get 5 years warranty and breakdown cover?
If you could let me know that will be great, even if it is just to stop thinking so much and enjoy the good deal!

Cheers in advance!

I looked into leasing and the extra amount on a with VAT lease wasn't working out that much cheaper considering I'd be left with nothing at the end and wouldn't be able to do much with the car as far as adding bits.

Where did you find out about this randomkamikaze? Spoke to Nissan customer service but the guy didn't have any info about an unregistered vehicle and said just to go with what the dealer said... useful, taking lessons from VW it seems!

I am so confused . I am in the same boat I think. Got the opportunity to opt out of company car so looking for a new nav or other. But private individual and not vat registered.
It's almost worth starting up a company to supply lifestyle vehicles especially if you make a loss as you can probably claim the tax back on the losses? Lol

Nissan seem the most disinterested in selling one.
Expensive to buy
30 or 40% deposit low ish interest.
Servicing relatively cheep £ 99 for 2 or £ 350 for 4 services? But that seems to be it. No deals on used cars or demos and high interest so not worth the saving.

Vw free extras, 0% finance, no deposit. Old model (best value at moment for obvious reasons) but blooming good deals.

Mitsubishi low interest ish no deposit sort of service package to be discussed.

Renault not even interested till end of year no info

Ford not been too yet.

And fiat not been too yet.

If you look at the lease deals you don't half pay over the odds for a car if you want to keep it.

yes but you dont keep it, after 36 months it goes back and you start again ok you get no car out of it but you also get no bills apart from running costs warranty covers all for 3 years and no depreciation at the other end, bot have pros and cons but pcp or lease is far better than buying if you change regularly as an example vanarama are offering a teckna for 239 a month with a 1500 quid deposit the same from Nissan is 7k deposit plus 269 a month for 36 months and a baloon payment of 11695 or walk away and start again, do the maths it makes sense
