Hey all, D40 ST vs STX

hail from down under!!
Thinking of buying a navara and i am going too, selling the old UNfaithful rx8 and going for a more reliable car hence the thought of buying a navara!!

Anyway to you pros out there heres a question for you, is there much difference between a ST and STX?? the most i notice is that STX are made in spain and ST are made in thailand =P
Also i notice the front end is different slightly, the STX has a slicker look where the ST has a more straight boxy look....and the STX has more features...performance wise are they the same?!!?

Cheers mates

Hi and welcome,

I would think you looking at the new model STX as apposed to the out going model ST.
Personally I'd go with the STX if it's the new model more power and better economy not to mention better interior specs. (Most of the guy's on here are from the Northern Hemisphere and they don't get the ST spec up there it's only a Aussie and NZ model)

The Spanish built trucks use slightly different parts to the Thai built trucks. The Spanish build trucks can usually use parts from a Frontier where as the Thai built trucks sometimes cant
The Spanish build trucks are to European standards so slight differences to the Thai truck , personally go the ST-X.
