That's awful, poor guy. No doubt the truck driver will be pretty shook up as well.

It does make you think about the stability of the Navara on ice. There were a few pickups including Navaras that ran off the road on a basically straight stretch between Fort William and Oban last winter.

Very unfortunate

Shame he didn't have enough grip/speed to go straight into the ditch, but that was some impact, the tractor unit of that artic actually jumped and twisted on impact!

That is shocking and sad to see. It's a reminder to us all that just because we're driving a truck, doesn't mean we can drive fast in poor conditions. A vehicle is only as good as its grip on the road. Unfortunately, that driver was driving too fast for the grip available. I think he just touched the brake, which caused the skid. The car behind the artic did well, or was lucky, to avoid impact.
