Demister is ****, takes an age. A heated front screen should've been fitted as standard really.

With item number 3, my vehicle actually wouldn't lock the other day when I left the keys in the central cup holder.

On top of your issues, I've also had the entertainment system freeze then reboot a couple of times and auto climate is poor.

I was told that Ford hold the rights to heated front screens and I believe only sell it on at a premium to allow other companies to install them. Land Rover's have it as they were briefly owned by Ford. Must admit I do miss it at this time of year since trading in my Disco for the Navara.

Did some research on this. The two main answers were that 1) Ford's patent has expired and 2) that the patent's scope was actually the way Ford did it which is deemed to be the best way.

Heated screens aren't limited to Ford and Ford owned (or once owned) brands. I've had one in a BMW MINI for example.

Useful update. Let's hope that manufacturers start including them from now on as standard. They are soooooo worth having

It's all down to the bean counters nowadays, the extra few hundred quid, especially when the main markets never see frost, are not seen as important.
