my ecu and billcar.

I pick my d40 up from billcar tomorrow I had the duplex chain and hot pipe conversion and a remap.dave said that they could not get into the ecu to do the remap, diagnostics are no problem, but been trying all day to do a remap,he says that he thinks that it has been remapped and a lock put on it,no fault codes either.any idea`s anyone??,I`m getting between 29 to 31 mpg, dave thinks it`s already been remapped but I have no proof dave says that the mileage is good for a euro 4 engine.

Dave knows his stuff and I would trust his word. The Euro4 D40 is the thirstiest of the bunch and you are doing pretty well getting over 30MPG with it. the auto version can be a lot worse in the low 20s.

2007 Euro4, D40 Outlaw in black.

Hi there mine has settled down to that number as well now I don't know if it's because I drive harder now or what but that is what mine is settling at now over a 1000 miles.

The only way to find out if it's been mapped is to ask all the previous owners. History should be available. Then you can go to the people who did it . Strange one that.

I was wondering if my mileage was so high at first because it was in pump learn mode after a hard reset done when the timing chain was done. I know the power had been off because I had to reset the drivers window.

29 to 31 was what I got on a non remapped D40 manual with a DTE chip.
Not so different from my V6 unless I do a lot of town driving.

driven down to tamworth from billcar, the old gel performed great, really enjoyed the drive!!,a lot more confidence in the engine, brakes sorted and now stops on a sixpence!!,great brake feel.pity about the remap though,so I guess that its just one of those things,so hey ho.i asked ed to stamp the service book too,i think it will mean more than a Nissan stamp.THANK YOU BILLCAR!!!.

It probably is already mapped as 30 mpg is very good for a euro 4
I struggle to get that on a motorway run let alone a average
