Hi people. Getting a loud squealing noise (like a fan belt slipping) on a full lock turn to the left. Sounds like it is coming from the offside (RH steering).
I still have a couple of months left of the dealers warranty so wanted to try and identify if this is an issue I can get fixed under the warranty before approaching them.
If you look at the attached photo, the yellow pulley is the power steering pump, the red pulley is its adjuster. The red arrow points to the adjuster nut.
Access is from above, assuming you've got long legs or a wee step. Firstly loosen the centre bolt in the middle of the adjuster pulley (just loose not massively slack) then you can tighten the adjuster nut a few turns to increase tension on the belt. Once you are happy with the belt tension tighten up the centre bolt again.
