If you don't come across any issues and you have all the tools needed then it will take a good part of a weekend to do. It took me longer than this as I was documenting everything and I had a couple of issues (I explain these in the guide) I also had to make a descent crank pulley holding tool which took a bit of time.

I will be doing a slight update on the PDF shortly.
I am going to expand on a couple of area's, sort a couple of spelling mistakes as well as show you how to make the locking tool for the balancer idler gear as its not really that clear in the guide.

Hi there I am after replacing my timing chain as I tow a 5th wheeler
We have an 08 plate adventura and have 90k on the clock always serviced but sounds a bit rattle until you accelerate
I have bought the full kit including the gears etc (simplex)

I am ok with a spanner ( qualified mechanic)

That's strange, it has worked for me twice now.

Re: D40/R51 Billcar duplex cam chain conversion guide - Down

Is there a way to line the balance shaft gear up if it was removed from mesh with the other gear before the pin was inserted?
