Getting fed up with this bloody truck now.

Both front wheel bearing have gone so the abs light is on and I've lost the key to take the wheels off so couldn't fit the new ones today.

The gear box 4x4 switches are knackered so the 4x4 lcd is flashing. 150 to replace them all and seals.

The battery light is on when the car is cold and there is a noise is coming from the engine. If I drive i get a loss of power. Seems to go when the engine warms up. Yep thats right the alternator freewheel pulley is shot.

sorry for the rant just seems everything is going wrong atm.

Just wish all the new parts will hurry up and get delivered so i can start to fix all this lot

If it ain't broke abuse it until it is then fix and repeat.

Hey obladeo, you just summed up my last 5 years in one post, but this one is gonna be better. Some of my parts have turned up and I'm putting things back together.
Good luck fella.

I had all those problems between 75k and 85k miles. Not only that, two of them resulted in being recovered by AA or Green Flag, much to the amusement of my neighbours. I wasn't greatly in love with the experience of Navara ownership either.
The following 100k miles have been pretty straightforward though.

BTW, Green Flag recovery is shockingly bad. i won't go into the story here, but it ended up with me having to call the police.

Local tyre place should get the locking nuts off for about a tenner! Transfer case switches aren't essential your transfer case should still work no issue. I know it's annoying on the dash but if it's something you can't afford to do all in one go they can wait a bit

Just replaced the wheel baring's and now the steering rack ends have gone. Also looks like I need to get a full set of bushes for everything else around there.

Had a quick check on the computer as the truck dropped into limp and the suction control valve is on it's way out.

GRRRRRR

Personally in 8 years and 180k miles i haven't had to touch any suspension bushes or track rod ends, one or two on here have done the lower suspension balljoints. I would be very surprised if you needed to replace a load of bushes.

Since coming back to live in the UK from the US, and prior to my Nav, I had three cars, each of which did 130K miles when
I sold them, none had significant fault. One had a broken electric window part. In the US we had an Impreza and a Beetle Turbo. Both remained fault free. My Nav, on the other hand has had a warranty fault which took two trips to the dealer to fix, with 18k on the clock. OK for a crummy truck maybe, but it doesn't make me feel confident about Navs or Nissan. As soon as my (excellent) 5th wheel moves on, I won't be looking in a Nissan showroom!

I admit this is not statistically relevant in the real world, and that on vehicle-specific websites you do see more 'problem stories' than 'nothing bad happened' stories, but even so....
