updated site design/workings

I've just moved here from landyzone for obvious reasons and they had just implemented a new forum design/software upgrade too their old version which is similar to this..
worth a look anyways..

Haha, they're all nutters over there.

Seriously though, LT has been on at the sites owners to upgrade the site for a long long time. We were recently promised an upgrade to vBulletin but it fell through.

No offense, but I find BB software used by Fifth Wheel Owners Club to be much slicker and more user friendly!

As one small example, posting your own Avatar and embedded photos is easy and obvious.

The plural of anecdotes is not data. Anecdotes however, are better than hearsay.

2014 Nav V6 (quite nice for a pickup truck) & Celtic Rambler (awesome as a mobile luxury flat).

Lz is just a suggestion there maybe better options for steering away from the clunky old styles like this, it's now also a lot more ipad/android friendly and they've got rid of tappitalk which is a bonus as far as I'm concerned..

yep your right they are nutters over there generally all very helpful and willing to do you a favour tho..

Re: updated site design/workings

To be completely honest, i have given up asking the owners to upgrade the site.

It's been a bone of contention for me which as Keith says has been going on a very long time.

I wanted to buy the site but, was told by the current owners that it's not for sale. Despite this, they concentrate their efforts on advertising only and not the welfare of the site itself. I understand that as a business, they give income top priority but, could still maintain the character and purpose of this place, but they choose not to.

They use the site as a vehicle for adds, that is their priority.

I won't be asking them any more about much at all, i'm at a stage where i've past caring.

The site has a history of greedy owners, the latest lot seem the worst i'd say.

Re: updated site design/workings

i see, time to sidestep then? I think I pay 25 quid a year for my domain from what used to be streamline.net but my Web designer mate uses someone else now I forget who but you could just set one up if your Fussed? I've also got a mat as said who could set it up cheaply..

Exactly the same story on a diving site I used to be on. A bunch on there ended up funding setup of a new site and most people jumped ship after it was bought by the same folks.
