Stereo: Installing AWSC-1 steering wheel controls

My first post, so please be gentle

I am currently installing a new head unit (Pioneer) in my 2006 Navara. For the steering wheel controls to work I've also bought a Axxess AWSC-1 adapter. I am a bit confused since the manufactures instructions don't seem to add up to reality in my truck. I have only one spare harness, and it does not match the pins in the instructions.

Can anyone shed some light on my problem? Is this the correct harness, and which cables do I use?

grazie!

great!
but then the dashboard lights that do not light (illumination 4wd buttons and fans) does not depend on that connector?
is a blown fuse?

Also on the trip button does not work (trip km, fuel consumption etc.) does not depend on the connection loose?

I will not be able to help with the ICE wiring and it sounds like you have more problems. Although there are a lot of clever people on here that should be able to help.

It might be better for you to start your own thread with a full explanation of which stereo your truck had fitted as standard and what you are trying to do now, including any problems you have encountered. I believe you can now buy pre-wired adaptors specific for the model of truck and new stereo.

good luck

scheme AWSC-1 steering wheel controls D40 2006 (immage)

I installed it on my stereo Android D40 of 2006, I had a bit of problems that I want to share, maybe can be useful to some one. First of all, I just plugged burning fuse lights (instrument panel and tail lamp). I discovered that I was not to use the GND connector but put it directly into the mass of the truck. (As soon as I turned on the lights burning fuse Breast) Second problem was re-connect the controls on the steering wheel: I took a picture here on the forum with cabaggi connector, but in my truck are different. Also if you put even the GND grounding of this connector (see photo) not even function trip computer button on the steering wheel. By connecting the other two I restored all controls without additional units (my car still has resistive commands ...) I attach the schematic, maybe it can 'be useful to others!

hello
Emiliano

NB the original photo I took here, probabilmete not all D40 have the same pattern ...
