Anyone know anything about A/V equipment

Basically we've bought a new tv and surround sound
Ive hooked it all up and it sounds amazing
However its not that loud when watching sky
Cd/dvd and radio it could blow the windows out so i know theres nothing wrong with the surroud system
I done a bit of digging and found that the sky+hd box has got a low volume on the a/v socket from the factory and theres nothing you can do to turn it up!
So im asking if anyone on here knows of a way to increase the volume through a/v sockets?
Im guessing I'll need some sort of amp or booster? But no idea where to look

Oh and i need it before new-year

Assuming you have bougth a new TV, it will probabaly have the option to set different volume offsets for each of the inputs, it will be somewhere in the settings.

No hdmi input on the surround and no optical out on the sky box so has to be the red and white phono sockets
The volume through the tv is quite loud but obviously not high quality, thats where the sound system should come in but when watching from the sky box and the volume on the sound system is up full its quite loud but nowere near as loud as it is when playing a cd and the main reason we got it was to blast out music channels lol
I found a sky forum and a few have said the sky box av is preset at a low volume and theres no-way to turn it up so was wondering if any of you guys knew a way round it by adding a booser or inline amp or something?

If you are using 'phono/RCA' connectors, these are analogue signals which are at a nominal 'line level', albeit set low, as you said. If you can't find any way to bump the volume up, you may find a small line-level amplifier on Amazon or eBay will do what you need...

Did you sort this out if not give me a list of the kit your Trying to connect and I'll work out what you need
A/V is sorta a Hobby that's got way out of control for me seeing as I spent way to much time and money on it got to the stage were just to sort out the wires takes a day of planing lol

If it means getting dirty, wet and cold im in !!!

Your phono outputs are at line level your surround system should amplify the signal to the level you require , try swapppng inputs onto another one and test there , also you may find the gain on that input maybe turned down on your surround system , an in line preamp defeats the whole object of the surround sound amp, also optical is a much better sound quality
