drivers inside door lock

Hi there having problem with the inside door lock on drivers door

Can open door from outside and locks ok but if pull lever from inside it doesn't open

Now did get the buzzing noise this am before the issue started so was going to do that fix see if it solved the problem

Just wanted to see if folks had come across this as a separate issue

Re: drivers inside door lock

easy fix.
the lock is the same as the rear door lock only they have grinded off the child lock latch - its moved preventing opening the door from inside. I managed to fix mine without removing door card.

the buzz sound is a pin which needs pushing back in (located near to the child lock latch).

Re: drivers inside door lock

From memory, A Blunt lever (plastic bike tyre lever or similar) Gently lever up the section of your armrest you grip to close the door upwards. Lever the trim around the inner door handle off ( Mine's silver ) next behind the door handle is another plastic cover lever this off also. Now you should be able to see 3 10mm bolt heads, 2 at the armrest and the one behind the door handle. Next lever the window switch panel off, Now take the bolts off and go around the outside of the door panel levering off the pops. Pull the panel straight up so as to clear the window rubber, Undo the wire loom for the window switches and hey presto one door panel. Enjoy and good luck

So is it something around the outside latch of the door I need to look at

no.if you look inside the door towards the catch you will see it is covered with metal plates, take the 2 10mm bolts out of the panel and remove them plates .then remove the bolts which hold the catch in ..when you have the catch out look on the side of it and you will see a tiny pin, just knock that pin back in flush and there you go

Re: drivers inside door lock

Right problem solved

The pin had worked out for the buzzing noise
The inside door lever not working was the child lock dropping on

The fix can be done by just undoing the 3 torx screws on the door frame top and bottom of lock
The with a screw driver in one of the holes push the lock mechanism upwards out of position
This will expose the small pin that needs knocking back in and the black plastic slider that has had the bit that should stick thru the body ground off just compare with rear door to see what im on about
This again was slide up into up into unlock position
Everything relocated and screws back in works find no problems
If u want u can strip the door card off but not really needed

If it happens again thinking of glueing the child lock open or will drill doorframe to allow aaccess to slider like the rear door

Cheers to the folks that replied and also a seach on door locks revealed threads that had covered this already
Thanks folk hate to think what nissan would have ssid was wrong plus the cost
