Re: Rich.'s Navara Build

I've read a few bad reviews of the Fabtech kit which kind of threw me off it, i should probably read into it more.

Re: Rich.'s Navara Build

I've heard bad things about both, calmini shocks are bad for leaking and the uca's have snapped before at the ball joints.

Titan swap will give you pure lift though, that's why I'm favoring it, some wide arches to compensate for the 3"a either side and you'll be laughing lol!

For the titan upper and lower wishbones I think it worked out at $240 last time I looked (second hand)
Prg tierods, radflos and ts axles was about $1300

So for $2000 you can get the swap to the uk

Re: Rich.'s Navara Build

Few more from my phone

Tweeters from the back, a fair bit of die grinding needed to make room!

Drivers mounted in the rear pods;

New compressor as it arrived

Removed the frame and fitted some vibration reduction mounts;

Considering its going to be permenantly mounted theres no point in taking up a load of room with a carrying frame. Swapped the warn connector for a standard PCL;

After a quick test, it runs a 1/2 impact with no problem. Ordered all the air line fittings to put a connection at the back near the tailgate. Got an exam on friday so i wont be doing any more till then! Rich

Better is the word Rich......

My only hesitation is that once i've sprayed it, im commited. If i dont like it, i'll have 2 useless grilles and have to buy a 3rd.

I think a play on photoshop may be in order.

Re: Rich.'s Navara Build

Thanks guys. There is some really fine black mesh in there. My latest decision is to keep ot in for the moment, clean up behind it (move the horn ect) an maybe lull off the really fine mesh and put some slightly thicker stuff in there.

If im still not happy after that, the origional is getting plasti-dipped.

Re: Rich.'s Navara Build

Flew through my exam so managed to get a few hours on the Nav tonight.

Got the Heatshot system fitted, it fits really nicely in a navara actually;

Fitted my HID kits to the fog lights;

And fitted my freshly sprayed engine cover, the start of tidying up the engine bay;

It came out ****, and i will re-do it at some point when i have more time

I've had a good few days with my new sound system now, and starting to get it tweaked to a point I'm really happy with, although still waiting for all the comps to break in fully, its now starting to sound like its price tag!
