A lot less than an engine rebuild... I keep having to remind myself that.. Haha!

1600 all in , just to have the duplex chain at the moment (obviously prices can change) your looking at 985 +vat but that's for the euro 3 engine. Not sure if it's the same price for other engines etc

Not yet, I was hoping to fit new tyres first then fit spacers and lift at same time...but... Don't know if I can wait that long lol. I've got to do a track rod end and wheel alignment too so I may stick spacers and lift kit on when it on the ramp

Also apologies for going slightly off topic on your build thread but I have been considering the duplex chain upgrade but I was thinking that my truck is 10 years old with 62k on it and I've just started hearing a slight tapping noise and it does sound like the chain.

Not sure if I'm just dreaming up the noise now though after reading all the horror stories on here. Getting it checked out tomorrow.

It has lasted this long though so I'm thinking do I just get another OEM chain fitted in the hope that it will do another 10 years or 60k or do I just get the duplex chain. Anything that swayed you to get the duplex other than just peace of mind??

It's is probably a long debated argument... You could just change the chain frequently but I believe (may stand corrected here) that the tensioner is weak so that can go also as well as chain stretching and snapping.

Your truck is low mileage for the age like mine but it's still worth getting the mod done, if you don't and it does snap ( proof is on these forums) then you could be in for 3grand plus for new engine or rebuild/replace whatever route it takes.

Good idea to get the noise checked though, the weeks leading upto getting my mod done I'm sure I kept hearing new noises although Dave did say I probably got mine done at a good time because it was starting to wear down and could have gone at any point.

The other reason for getting it done is, and again I may be wrong here but I don't think billcar have had an engine fail yet after fitting the modification and they have been doing them for a few years now

Did oil change, air, pollen and oil filter change today and greased up UJ's. Need to look into Diff oils etc next I think- coming upto 80K so would be good to do.

Fitted tyres and 2" lift yesterday! Didnt think the lift would look all that different but cant believe what a difference its made along side the new tyres too!

Anyone got any ideas on pressures? From what ive seen online people seem to run them at 38psi on road (BFG AT KO2's 265 70 )

Pics will follow..

Looking forward to some pics, as this is the exact same setup I'm looking on completing in the next month or so.

Looks good!

Black rear bumper and alloys would look great!

Also, I know you put in the time and effort to fix your chassis, but there is a chance Nissan would stick a new one on for you.
My mate has just had his done, his had been repaired previously yet they still swapped it! something to think about!

No real progress to show I'm afraid, still haven't fitted spacers either - not had the time , not even washed it!!

That is the kit mate, seems good. From what I've read online branded names or make for this type of lift are pointless as they're all the same so the cheapest is OK.

I think I'd like to colour code bumper, undecided on Black alloys though....? Should I , shouldn't I...

The chassis exchange would be awesome but I really don't hold much hope, I've spoken to and emailed Nissan a few times now first time being about 4 months ago and not even had a reply regarding roof rust!

Desperately need to order some maintenance bits up for the old girl though, think wheel bearing has gone on front, also need drop link as that's shagged and knock all the time. Tried gassing up A/C to find the rad is shot too! Oh..and need to do rear UJ! Annnnnd then fit spacers!...

Pic to follow shortly..not the best pic, will get a better one when I get a chance
