I'm temporarily Nav-less while all my new goodies are being fitted. In the interim they gave me this to drive: not bad, but it has one of those foot-operated park brakes where the clutch should be. I keep stomping the brake to the floor when I coast to a stop at the lights.

I celebrated by ordering one of these to help keep my cargo in place:

Yep, it's the current model Pathfinder (no longer any relation to the Navara). This one is a 2WD powered by the VQ35 petrol V6.

It's also available with a Renault-sourced 2.5 petrol 4 coupled to a 15kW electric motor, and in some markets the old faithful YD25 diesel engine.

It's massive, it has more interior space than my Patrol. It dwarfs my wife's Passat which you can see poking out behind it. Apart from that it's okay. Very powerful, but I'm glad I'm not paying for the fuel!

That the thing I don't understand, they make it fwd/awd instead of rwd/4wd like the old Pathfinder, because they want to save on fuel. Now WHO is going to buy a 3.5 v6 pathfinder, to save fuel

That's like saying, oh i'm going to a prestige restaurant and eat the cheapest meal there is. It's still going to cost you a lot

Love it, that bar with the spots fitted is a serious bit of kit.

What looks strange is the lack of roofrack over the cab. Is there any reason you went for one on the back?
