The drivers side windscreen washer on my truck is weak to say the least. It only squirts water about 2" up from the bottom of the windscreen. This is in complete contrast to the passengers side which gives a strong blast right up to the top of the windscreen.
Now that winter is approaching it needs sorting. I don't know if the jet is blocked/needs adjusting or what?
I just thought I would ask if anybody had the same problem and if you had ay tips about how best to go about fixing it? Thanks. :thumbleft:
normally when this happens there just a bit **** stuck in them. disconnect the hose and using an airline blast the little critter out, or even better remove the jet.
Try taking the jets out and soaking them in water for an hour or two, then blowing them through either with compressed air or your mouth. Finally a needle in the jet slot for anything else thats a bit more solid and they should work like new again.
Could also be **** in the screen wash bottle which keeps coming up through the hoses. If its the passenger side, that's supplied by the longest hose as the bottle is on the driver side (left side looking at the truck from the front).
Had a problem with mine, turned out previous owner had been too tight to use screen wash, so algae and all sorts of other crud had been growing in the bottle and clogged filters and hoses.:crying:
Always good if it's a quick fix though.:wink2:
