Chris that's well interesting wat you did with the light bulbs, def will try out with the LEDs and D40-Outlaw I just realised that you can actually pull out, though they are really tight bugers to pull out of the black shell casing so I can def play around with the colours now and get one to work with current shell :)... Very soon I won't be holding a torch light over the dash to see what speed I'm doing and revs...

If you use T5 LED's they come complete with holders, just plug them in, they might need a little fettling on the contacts but this will be obvious.
You can get coloured normal bulbs, I got some from R S Components, but I was concerned about the heat build up, LED's run virtually cold.

So yesterday I thought I might try out the wire lamps from maplin which I saw from on thread on here on one side. I can safely say did do the job but might as well try out the LEDs as well and get some colours going on in the car :). I attached a pic of what one side looks like now and will try out the other side with LEDs once I get hold of some. Thanks guys for the help, much appreciated :D

I was just thinking that, forgot which website I saw them on but was thinking would the space be enough when putting the dash back and would they clip on as well when putting them in. Def some ideas to play around and don't cost an arm and a leg from ordering from Nissan :)

This type are called miniture wire ended, I bought a selection of coloured ones from RS Components for a couple of quid, I would have tried LED's but they aren't available this small.
After trying them I settled for red as giving the best effect and light output.

Yeah true they not expensive n worth a try, by any chance were they small bulbs with long wires at the bottom which kinder have to cut to fit in tthe shell and back in the dash, as I got them for mine
