In posting to any part of the forum all members agree to abide by the following rules. Any queries should be made via PM to one of the Moderation Team


General Conduct

No swearing or offensive language, including partial masking of such. If you wish to use an expletive, type it out fully and let the swear filter catch it, or censor the whole word yourself with asterisks.
If you choose the former, please check your comment after posting to make sure the swear filter has recognised the expletive, please do not assume. The swear filter is by no means contains an exhaustive list, so if a word isn't 'caught' by the filter, then please do not assume that it is considered OK to use. If in doubt, leave it out.
No illegal or possibly illegal comments, for example, racist, libellous or threatening remarks.
We do not claim to be child friendly or a 'family forum', but please be mindful of others when posting. Just because you are not offended yourself doesn't mean someone else won't be.
Please don't take forum threads "Off Topic". However, the 'original poster' ("OP") of the thread is given more leniency to do so.
No 'goodbye' posts. If you wish to leave the forums or site, we regret that you are doing so, but please do so quietly.
No blatant and unnecessary spamming.
Please do not cross post threads and posts (Ie submitting the same thread/post twice or more in separate forum locations).
Trading outside the classifieds forums is prohibited.

Introduce Yourself

If you walked into a pub, you would introduce yourself before talking to a stranger, forums share a lot in common with a pub. A quick post to introduce yourself, along with filling your profile in (even with the vaguest of details i.e Woodford or Birmingham ,etc), would help let other users to get to know you, if only a little.

Private Mail Should Dictate Private Responses

If someone on a discussion forum has sent a private message to you (i.e., not posted in the forum) and you have lost that person's address but want to respond, do not post private messages to the forum. Post a message to the forum only requesting that the person contact you again, without giving the details of any off-forum messages.

Flaming is Inappropriate

Discussions will often result in disagreements. Rebuttals to another person's opinions or beliefs should always be made in a rational, logical and mature manner, whether they are made publicly or privately. "Flaming," or insulting another forum subscriber, is never appropriate. Nissan Navara.net forum exists to help find information and get to know other users, and making forum subscribers uncomfortable interferes with the purposes of the forum.

Foul Language

Subscribers should refrain from abusive or derogatory language that might be considered offensive. Nissan Navara.net reserves the right to ban a user who disregards this guideline. This also applies to the usage of inappropriate or offensive avatars or signatures, or pictues either presented within posts or via a link to another source or site.

Unsolicited Advertising and Chain Letters

Most of these are contrary to appropriate use policies governing the use of the poster's Internet access provider. Not only that, they are annoying and (in the case of chain letters) often illegal. Please note that Nissan Navara.net does not distribute the email addresses of forum subscribers, and any unsolicited advertising and chain letters that appear on the forum should be reported to a moderator.

Avatars

Users of the forum are invited to use their own custom avatar as part of their profile. This can be added using the User Control Panel. All Avatars should meet all other forum guidelines including copyright and inappropriate content. Moderators retain the right to remove any avatar that is deemed inappropriate at any time without notice

Other Disruptive or Abusive Behaviour

Be sure that you as a forum participator set a good example of positive interaction and good netiquette practice. Good manners are the same on the internet as they are in person - being polite, considerate of others, and respectful of opinions that may differ from your own are the key to successful interaction on the Nissan Navara.net Forum. This forum is not the medium for any personal issues or disagreements between any members.

The role of the moderators is to uphold the rules and they have the power to take the necessary action which includes warnings and banning wherever they deem it to be appropriate. Nissan Navara.net operates a "three strikes and out" system of action, which may lead to bans ranging from 30 minutes to lifetime. The moderators decision is final.

Now that we have restarted the forum we have on board a team of moderators whose job it is to keep the forum on the straight and narrow and uphold the spirit of Nissan-Navara.net and keep it going forward.

If you have any issues that need sorting out then you can PM any of them in confidence and they will be able to assist.

It is pleasing to say that this is not a heavily moderated site and its the intention to keep going that way.

Nissan-navara.net is a free site for it's users and is supported by our advertisers, sponsors and donations. We ask that any company who wishes to post any commercial material on the site including, but not limited to, items for sale, special offers and links to websites, contact us to ask about our cost effective sponsorship packages.

Any member taking out a sponsorship package may display company and website details in their signature and will have a 'status' indicated as Sponsor on all posts.

Items for Sale

All items for sale should be in the For Sale forum. No other section of the site should be used for selling of any kind. This also applies to items wanted

If you are interested in the item for sale, you may link to a website offering a lower price. Posts from users who are clearly not interested in buying, will be deleted.

If an item is available for sale elsewhere, this must be stated in the original post.
