has anyone tried the new v power derv? or will anyone!

I used the v power petrol in my accord and it seemed to be an improvement, whether or not that was just in my mind i don't know!
definately used to get 20-30 miles more per tank.

apparently it's been on trial down south for a while.

I've used the BP equivalent and have been disappointed with the results.
It gave me a good 15% increase in mpg in my Citroen, and made it more sprightly.
However, in the Navara mpg dropped on the same drive runs.

dredging this one up again!

wen't to fill up other day and a sign said "V Power same price as normal fuel today only"

why not i thought :)

having run approx 100 miles with it (tank was on empty so it'll be through by now) I'm quite impressed.

Far less smoke on hard acceration & quieter idle. can't say you fell a noticable difference on power and can't comment on economy yet.

depending on price difference per litre i may stick, doesn't really break the bank per full tank!

My Navara always runs on BP Ultimate diesel. Great stuff.

I had a 125L fuel tank installed about a week ago and have done 800km's and still have more then a quarter of a tank left.

Good fuel giving good fuel economy.

I spoke to someone who works at a Shell oil refinery and they said it's basically the same fuel, not like the difference with the unleaded.

I'd tried Shell V Power in my D40 and it does feel smoother but fuel economy and power is no different and if it's, not worth the extra premium.

you can't gauge you fuel consumption over one tank full . there are so many variables that can affect your consumtion , what you have to do is run it for a period of time and work out the average .
