d40 dtc code p1819 what is it

2008/58 navara d40 with 4wd light on will not go from 4wd low back to 2wd and the dtc code that comes up is p1819 its not the three switches on the box and its not the control unit can anyone help??????

I had a P1819 fault (nearly P1818 :scratch:

) - stealer (in france) told me it was the transfer box actuator motor had been oil contaminated. I took the truck to a land rover mechanic who, within a few minutes found broken a broken/corroded wire in the loom to the transfer box and switches. Sounds like if a wire may be broken, its giving an earthing or short circuit problem - maybe worth checking out anyway

either that or the neutral position switch is U/S?
Does the cruise control work?
Also does the ABS work? ABS fault will stop the truck engaging 4wd - worth testing
