New to group introduction

Just a quick hello to everyone👋 I'm Sy from Manchester, I own a 63 plate Pathfinder 2.5 dci Tekna which is the second Pathfinder I have owned. All in all very happy with it. 86000 on the clock.

Cheers It is one of the last unfortunately, it's a shame really because I reckon judging by the looks of the NP300 if they made a new Pathfinder it would be a great looking 4◊4. I would definitely be in the market for one when I'd had enough of my current one.

Hello, Sy.

I used to own a Pathfinder too, a little older than yours, 2006.

THIS is the latest Pathfinder. Nothing like it used to be.

Could you please update your location in your User CP? "Manchester" is close enough.

Na, don't do that yourself, best take it to the garage.

It looks like the Australian market will be getting a pathfinder based on the NP300, no clues on whether it will come to Europe, although it might be made in Spain.

It seems to have been continuously produced over the years for the US market, although I'm not too clued up on their progression over that time at all. Very good seller over there maybe.

They seem to be getting very curvy and friendly looking too. I prefer the old, boxy, more aggressive build!

Na, don't do that yourself, best take it to the garage.

We still have the Pathfinder - the V6 American one, not a proper off-reader anymore.

The Navara-based Terra is already on sale in some Asian markets and should arrive here in 2019, but itís going to be difficult for Nissan to place it.

Nissan Australia are a 100% SUV lineup: Qashqai, X-Trail, Pathfinder, Navara, Patrol.

The Terra is going to need to either be an ultra-premium offering priced to rival the Ford Everest and Landcruiser Prado (50-80k), or more likely, sit in the value wagon range to compete with Pajero Sport, MU-X, Trailblazer and Fortuner (40-60k).

Thatís space fairly solidly occupied by the current Pathfinder range.

Perhaps they will pitch its off-road credentials and offer some serious factory accessories (which is how Toyota market the Fortuner against the Kluger).

Nice info.

I wonder if it is any good off road in it's later builds, the Pathfinder.

I've seen the Terra, and it's likeness to the NP300, and wondered how the Pathfinder fitted in these days. What chassis is it now based on, if the Terra has now taken Navara chassis?

Or, are these new build Pathfinders monocoque chassis?!

EDIT: You can see in THIS picture just how nice looking the Terra actually is..... Ahem, yeah)

Na, don't do that yourself, best take it to the garage.

We digress a bit, might need to take this to General Discussion. But the Pathfinder currently in production is an SUV, not an offroader. Monocoque construction, most versions sold are two wheel drive, the ones that arenít are on-demand AWD

Well, we're on topic, but the OP is missing. Plenty welcome for him to come back to.

So it seems the true replacement is the Terra. Whilst they get busy 'rounding' off the Pathfinder for rainy day trips to the supermarket!

Na, don't do that yourself, best take it to the garage.
