Nah - LR charge an extra £5K for the option of "wheels that appear to move, but are stationary".
It is all the rage in, err, California.

There must be more to this story... for the wheels to be free-spinning like that, the Rover must be (a) completely bottomed out, possibly indicating a problem with its ride height control, and/or (b) suffering a complete traction control failure.

Those things shouldnt fail, of course, but if the Rover bottomed out, so too would have the VW if it had taken the same line.

Really this shows that successful off-roading is still at least 40% skill, 40% experience, 5% luck, and 15% what you’re driving...

If you look closely the camper is spinning its tires but its maintain momentum.
The range rover has stopped on all be it a gentle slope but its covered in mud and with wide road tires and tread that smoothed because the grooves are full of mud is screwed.
If he rolled backwards 10/20 feet and tackled the same spot again whilst already rolling he would be fine!

Yep, big wide road tyres are next to useless in the mud.

What a video it would be if it was a D21 or D22. Priceless.
