Aftermarket EGR Valve brand

Hello,

When I first bought the car it had the EGR codes, had it to the dealer and after 2, 3 attempts they cleaned and said if it pops up the EGR valve needs to be replaced, that was 6 years ago.
Was looking at some Febi Bilstein and Hella EGR valves and they are like 250 euro compared to 450 euro for a Nissan EGR. Who makes the Nissan branded EGR valve or what aftermarket brand should I go with ? Also was told I have an automatic EGR which can't be cleaned, is this true ?

I've never heard of an EGR valve that can't be cleaned.

Interestingly genuine parts are often not the same supplier as the original equipment, their parts people source parts from different places. No idea who makes them Nissan ones, probably Denso.

You can buy EGR valves from 60€ all the way to €500. I've often found the cheap eBay products are not great, but worth a try...

You need to to double check the right one as they changed Euro 3,4 and 5.

So what I did was clear the codes take it on a 30km drive and after this 2 days of city no more codes, today when running errands it came back so for me its clear the hot exhaust must have melted some of the soot, booked it with the dealer and they agreed a clean can be done.
