I read a post on here the other week about a blower motor resistor as my number 2 fan setting didn't work.

I got it today and replaced it - straight away all my fan numbers worked again which was great! I thought while I was under there I would take out the fan blower motor and make sure it was clean, there were some leaves and sticks in there so I took them out and re installed the motor and resister. Started the car and now no numbers worked the blower motor does not turn over. After reading more posts I found that it should work at at least 4 if the resister was still the issue.

The question is, by me moving my motor which was working one minute ago, could I have broken the old thing, is there another solution I dont know about or will i have to buy a whole new fan blower motor?

I checked the two fuse boxes under the bonnet and by looking at the diagrams on the coversit seems there are heaps of 'BLR MTR' fuses, why are there so many and could that be my issue?

Cheers

Welcome along.

I doubt if you broke the motor, it is more likely to be electrical.

As you are doing, check the fuses, no idea why there are so many!

Worth double checking you have plugged everything back securely too.
