CD Changer

Hi All

I have just bought a new D40 outlaw. Due to various dealer cockups i am on my second one in four days. The current one is missing the compass on the mirror and the cd changer is different. It has a circular nob in the middle with buttons either side instead of the the 6 buttons on the bottom. Oh and there is no headlamp washer button, but the washers are there!!!

The CD looks to me like an older model, currently expecting call back from dealer - does anybody know why these bits are different? so i am fore - armed when dealer rings back?

don’t now about the cd but I think the headlamp washers work when the headlights are on and you wash the front window no separate button cant check for you though as I am waiting for my second navara as the first one went back after one day due to bad paint work

what hapend to your first one?

Complicated, but dealer put plate on vehicle with wrong chasis no vehicle. Supposedly two identicle ones, the other one had the washer button - so clearly not the same.

Mine has a washer button (next to the headlamp height adjuster)..

What spec have you got (aventura / outlaw / SE?) - the aventura has the sat nav - so Im assuming not that one - the outlaw iirc has the 6CD changer, and the SE has a simple CD player. Might you have got the SE spec CD player?

This isnt uncommon - Wleg (a mate of mine / fellow nissan defector from the MBClub forum) got his aventura without the auto headlight switch or working auto windows.

Build quality is somtimes a bit suspect....

Its an Outlaw, but the CD is a multi, just not the one in the first vehicle i had and not the one in my business partners (bought at the same time).

Yes... but to be fair, the supplying dealer did sort it out (after I threaten to refuse it after waiting 27 days)....

They also sprayed the bed with "ultimate liniing" but forgot to do the inside of the rear door. More kind words sorted this one...

And someone had nicked the cleats and Sat Nav disk (spotted on collection) but sorted by borrowing them from another D40 - by the sales manager....

CD changer

I can answer this question on the cd changer and the headlight washers. The round central CD knob and no headlamp washer button is on the Model year 2007 vehicle. You may find it has no cigarette lighter and ashtray too. If you look underneath then you may find it also has a CAT. If so then it has the new EURO4 engine too
