Confused about the model I have.

I see a lot on this forum about the D40 frame and even the sub forums are dedicated to the D40, D22, & D21.

I have a diesel Frontier branded truck, bought in Guatemala and, from the vin #, it says made in Japan.

I'd there just not a lot of D25's or does it fall under the D40 or NP300 category?

Or is mine one of a kind? ;)

It's probably a NP300. Post up a picture.
I dont have an eye for them yet so this just looks like a run of the mill old frontier to me.

It is a bit confusing.

Basically Nissan produced the D22 from 97 to 2005 with a TD25 then a YD25 engine as well as a 4 cylinder petrol in some markets. It could be called Frontier, Navara, Pickup or NP300 depending where it was sold.

In 2005 the D40 was launched with a higher performance YD25DDTI engine, replaced in 2015.

For some reason Nissan carried on making the old D22 alongside the D40. They did put the YD25DDTI in this though. This is what you have. Depending on the market they called it s D22 or an NP300, normally Navara or Frontier.

D22 or NP300.
To confuse things a little more, the 2015 onwards D23 is also called NP300!

(NP = Nissan Pickup
300 is 3,000 kgs)
