Cranking but not starting

Hi everyone

I have an issue with my 2007 nissan navara d40 2.5 DCi , the car cranks but will not start, i ran a scan on it and i get code P0581 "Cruise control multi-function input "A" circuit high but the funny part is my car has no cruise control. what could this mean, i need the car running please assist.

P0581 means that there is lack of continuity in the clock spring, but that shouldn't affect starting.

Have you tried squeezing the fuel primer bulb to see if it gets hard?

yes i did, it gets very hard then after some minutes it gets soft again

That's what it is supposed to do.

You could try spraying some kind of easy start aerosol into the intake manifold, you will need to pull off the air intake pipe to spray it in.

Actually any aerosol using propane as the propellant will do (wd40, hairspray etc)
