G'day guys, the wife has a d22 2008 model, and when she drives it approximately 20kms all.of a sudden the rev taco will go all the way up to red line and keep going from zero to full revs for mo reason, and the Ute goes in to limp mode and check engine light comes on. Any one else had tbis problems? Cheers Rick.

Welcome to the forum.

There's been a few threads on erratic tev counters.
It is possibly a poor ground connection or even a failing battery. I would certainly check the battery terminals.
The other possibility is a problem with the instrument cluster.

The first check is to read the fault code. If you haven't got a code reader they are pretty cheap.
