Hey, I recently bought a used 2008 D22 Space Cab and I’m looking to get a lift plus a new set of rims and tires for occasional road driving in the week and off roading every weekend.

The truck currently has 20” rims and road tires installed by the previous owner.

I’m thinking of getting:
  • A complete suspension 3” X-Flex Lift Kit from Snake Racing (Navara D22 3" X-Flex Lift Kit)
  • 15” rims
  • The biggest mud tires I can fit on it without rubbing (32 or 33s?). I like the Falken Wildpeak MT
Enough offset for the tires to stick out a little

This is my first truck so I’d really like some recommendations. Yes, I’ve read the topic « So, you want to lift your D40 ».

Thanks

Welcome along.

Sounds a plan. On the D22 you also have the option to wind the torsion bars up for 2" lift, as well as fitting body spacers for another 2".

Hard to say on the tyres. Also worth posting on the Navara Forum, the Aussies have a lot more D22 modification experience.

Thanks! I'll post on the Navara Forum too. Does this mean I could get the 3" lift kit and wind up those torsion bars for an extra 2" and a total of 5" lift?

No, but you could add the body lift to the kit you posted.
I see. From what I ready I'm trying to avoid having to do a body lift so I don't create more problems to fix (gaps around the bumpers, mount incompatibility with bash plates, etc.). Maybe I'm wrong and it's worth the slight modifications to get the extra 2".
