can u guys tell me some examples oif what kind of oil is suitable for this engine?
in manual it just says that it should respect few standards: ACEA 98 B1 or CF4 and CG4 should be definitely avoided. i would be very gratefull if any of you can give a concrete example of which oil u used for this engine.
problem is i could find a sample oil to have these exact standards written on their labels.
please dont forward me to nissan dealer. im from romania and that should clarify why i cant follow this route. u dont want to know how warranty services are here. thank you.

i think the manual says CF-4....do NOT use CG.

however imho CI-4 would be a far better choice.

I use a 15w40 in summer
it's AGIP Truck 15W40
ACEA E7 - E5 - E3 - B3 API CI-4
This is a oil for Truck and heavy use so it's very protective
I pay it 3-3,5 Euro but in normal market it cost a lot

For winter I use 5W40
It's an AGIP 7004
It's for VW 505.01 specification
it's a very good oil, normaly it cost 12/15 EURO but I pay it 6 EURO Kilogram

i found mobil1 delvac 5w40 is complying with cf4 but it also comply with cg4. in manual it says that for yd motors cf4 oil should be used and cg4 should be under no condition used.
so this mobil delvac which complies with both standards is appropriate to use or not ?

i would give it a miss. go right to CI-4 if you can't find CF
