Hi, my 2006 D40 keeps going into limp home mode. I took it to Nissan to get a diagnostic.
It came back with TCM problem with one of the control valve and one of the solenoids in the TCM, and fluid temp sensor.
Cost from Nissan £3700 to fix.
After picking myself up off floor, I have been hunting around for more info.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
thanks.

Welcome along.

That must have been a shock!

So you need a new, secondhand or reconditioned transmission control module. It sounds like the fluid has got contaminated and damaged a solenoid.

Check eBay for reconditioned or second hand starting at £30.
If you are prepared to get your hands dirty you can drop the gearbox sump (empty it first) replace the TCM and put it together with fresh fluid. Or you can find a garage to do it for you.
