When you need a new tyre for a D40, you will find it a problem getting a new one, as I found out after a blow out at 6000 miles which resulted in the side wall getting cut. tyre size is 255/65/17 and is only fitted to D40 and only made by Dunlop (Wrangler)
After trying many tyre garages on a Friday and being quoted prices from £150 to £200 as none of the big garrages never stocked them, I finally
went to a small back street garage Clevelys Tyres in Clevelys (Blackpool)
where I got one for £120 but still had to wait for delivery on Monday.

I was speaking to a old geezer the other day, and he runs a Renault estate and said that his tyres cost £150 each. It's not only 4x4s that cost the earth in rubber.

Dont want to upgrade yo BF Goodridge Brian, as I find Dunlops stick to wet roads well. Tyres on my last Navara D22 were Bridgestones and leathal on wet roads.

No problems, just that i do lots of green lanes with my D40.

Stick with the tyres you know best is the best way forward.
