This is a decline. Be warned, theire underwriter makes this condition, so if you're with them and you have one, you better not need your insurance.

If you have a front LED light bar and are insured by DirectLine, they would not pay out in the event of an accident/theft etc. as their underwriter will not cover you for this modification at all, and your insurance immediately becomes invalid.. In their terms, a front LED Light bar is an insurance decline.

Assuming the light bar is the cause of the accident.

or are you saying if you get rear ended by an uninsured person and make a claim against your insurance they will deny the claim because you have an LED lightbar mounted to the front of your vehicle ?

Yes, the underwriter says that they would not insure the vehicle if an LED light bar is fitted, and that any existing insurance is invalidated by doing so.

Interesting.

I suspect that the call centre operative interpreted led light bar as a bull bar or similar.

Interesting, makes no sense to invalidate a claim because of something that was not a direct cause.
