Hi there,
Not sure if this has been addressed before.
I have a 2009 D40 outlaw and it's a auto.
Ie own this navara for approximately 7 years and not once has the DPF light came while driving or when I turn the ignition on. Does that mean te pervasive owner had it disabled. The unit is there on the passenger side along thebell housing towards the rear of the box

Welcome to the forum.

The dpf light will only come up if there is a fault. So I would think it is probably standard and running as designed.
