Hey fellas. New here go easy. Ive recently bought an 09 Dx D22 with 122km on the dash. All was smooth mechanically until recently, when I start it it has the following issue: the car revs at around 700rpm as usual, it then suddenly drops about 100rpm to 600rpm and feels as though it's about to stall. Ive researched and found that on D40's it could be the MAFS but read that there is no MAFS in the D22s so I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

You are correct there is no mass air flow sensor on the D22.

In simple terms you have the wrong amount of fuel or air while the engine is idling.

The first steps should always be to check the fuel filter air filter and the turbo hose pipes, looking for splits.

Does it happen when the engine is cold or hot? If both you can eliminate the glow plugs and the intake temperature sensor.

Does it happen in neutral as well as in each Gear?
The neutral position switch sensor often plays up.

Thanks for the response. And it happened yesterday for the first time while it was cold and in neutral.
