Hi Guys
I have a question for some of you guys that have the top of the line trucks. As far as i am aware all our trucks are almost identical. I know for a fact US Frontier parts do fit on Navara's and vice versa. I am hoping that our computers are also the same.
Below I will show a basic readout from the trucks computer when put into test mode. i was wondering if someone with a top end truck could put their truck into test mode and see if their readings are the same. What I am trying to find out is if we are able to get extra features such as fuel economy readouts or some of the extra features that your top end trucks do have on our Aussie Navaras and maybe even our friends in the states in their Frontiers .
Ok here is the list of funtions from the dash readouts

SELF-DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION

The following items can be checked during Combination Meter Self-Diagnosis Mode.

Gauge sweep and present gauge values.
Illuminates all odometer/trip meters and A/T indicator segments.
Illuminates all micro controlled lamps/LEDs regardless of switch position.
 Displays estimated present battery voltage.
Displays seat belt buckle switch LH status.

HOW TO INITIATE COMBINATION METER SELF-DIAGNOSIS MODE

NOTE: Once entered, Combination Meter Self-Diagnosis Mode will function with the ignition switch in ON or START. Combination Meter Self-Diagnosis Mode will exit upon turning the ignition switch to OFF or ACC.

To initiate Combination Meter Self-Diagnosis Mode, refer to the following procedure.
Turn the ignition switch ON, while holding the odometer/trip meter switch for 5 - 8 seconds.

NOTE: If the diagnosis function is activated the odometer/trip meter will display tESt. Push meter switch for each test.

Interesting challenge.. I can't help with the readings.

Of note there were 4 factories producing D40;s. Spain, US, Brazil and Thailand. While quite a few parts are compatible, there are a significant differences.

In terms of the ECUs, they changed them many times and of course changed the coding to suit the engine and state of tune.
I am pretty certain there is no way of enabling functions you don't have without recoding the ECU.

Not easy with nissan as you can only load software with Nissan Consult that was in original vehicle spec as it reads Vin number when connected

Just wondered if there was any hidden extras within the dash board setup or enabling instant consumption on the screen or the like would have been nice to have the doors locks on drive away but i think i found that's not possible
