Hi folks, as there are many caravaners/campers etc as members, it would be nice to hear of good favourite sites. Good rates, pitch size, do they take big motorhomes and fifth wheelers? quality, location, entertainment, cleanliness, shower facilities etc.

Please give details, name of site, location, and contact details, website if poss and as always pics are welcome :thumbright:

cheers Steve :thumbleft:
boys and girls this is only a guide as to members personal experience as to their time spent on the site and not to be taken as a must stay at this site guide.
other reviews are available via the likes of trip advisor ect ect, so please feel free to use this as a point of reference then draw you own conclusions from here.
also try not to clutter up this post with chit / chat lets just keep to sites and feed back please so any non relevant post will be removed to speed up reading time

thanks to steve LT for the sticky and mr woz who suggested it

Accepts tents, caravans, motorhomes and 5th wheelers with pitch sizes of 80m, 100m and 120m.
Caters for toddlers through to grandparents.

This is a very large site adjacent to a theme park and prices include daily entry to the theme park, swimming pools with flumes etc.
Despite being a large site its facilities were kept clean and tidy at all times and uncongested.
We worried about it being noisey but this proved not to be the case.
Would recommend booking the Comfort Plus pitches located in the Romantisch Kamp you'll see on the site map being convenient to all the amenities.
Take a look at their website to see all that's on offer :study:
Booking through the Caravan Cub gets you a discount

Accepts tents, caravans, motorhomes, not sure about 5th wheelers but pitch sizes vary, so look at the site map.
Caters for toddlers through to grandparents.

I stayed on one of the 'Comfort' pitches and there was more than enough room.
Plenty going on to keep the kids happy and us happy and the facilities were kept clean at all times.
If you book through the Caravan Club you get a discount.

Accepts tents, caravans, motorhomes but not sure about 5th wheelers so enquire.
Caters for toddlers through to grandparents.

Nice site with all the facilities and kept clean.
Good size pitches.
Mostly used as a 'stop over' before the ferry crossing but worthy of a few extra nights stay up to a week.

spent this bank holiday august at Ross park in Devon.
the site is very very good just read the reviews on trip advisor and people rave about this site, its easy to get to and when we stayed the site was full but due to the layout it never felt full busy or noisy a great base to explore devon.
we spent one day driving around the area looking at other sites, nothing comes close
we liked this site so much we have booked to go back for the bank holiday in august in 2014 friday to friday.
its close to beaches if the weather is good, but also if the weather is bad then its close to tons of other things to do to keep the kids happy.
the site has a bar and a restaurant with prices that suit every pocket and one night they had a local singer doing a show that was fantastic great fun and very good.

Hunters Moon CC site near Wareham Dorset details here http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/caravanclu ... csid=21909.
Just returned from 5 days here and the usual CC standards with clean washing/toilets/shower facilities with helpful and friendly wardens.
Good size hard standing and level gravel pitches amongst well maintained lawns and hedges.
Nice central location for visiting Bournemouth, Poole, Weymouth etc.
Only downside was the local Pub 'The Silent Woman' serving good food within walking distance of this site doesn't allow children
