Neil,

What has gone pear shaped on your rig to want to change to a Ford ?

If you enjoy driving the Navara why change ?

**** happens ! There has been a few issues with the Z30 donk in Aus as well but it's not going to make me sell because they are a bloody great 4WD the best vehicle i've driven in my short 13 years of driving 8)

going from nissan to Fix Or Repair Daily is not good. local mechanic said he had a ford deisel in with a blown mtor, ford was trying to pin the blame onto them.

if your going away from nissan then toyota is a better bet.

If your buying new then Isuzu are facelifting their truck. Isuzu engines are known to be pretty solid.

Also, I would say that toyota would be a more reliable bet than Ford, although the newest Ranger does look good!!

Test drove the ranger before I got my D40. Really liked the look of the new one and they were virtually giving them away on new or pre-registered!! I realised why when I test drove it. Its definitely a truck. Drives like a transit but with less power and much worse suspension I thought. Came out of the garage disappointed but certainly made the D40 look like one hell of a vehicle and made my mind up on it!

I have got to admit if I worked off road all the time and needed to throw logs and stuff in the back then the Ranger looks like a good option. For motorway cruising and the mix of uses I use my Nav for it just really wouldn't cut it. Just my opinion!
