Hi I have a 2008 v6 Nissan Navara that always takes a short while to start, not major but should start faster, then when it does it always revs high for a few seconds before settling, irrespective of whether cold or warm engine. Also when you accelerate quick feels like a slight lag before it takes off. Any advice as to why would be appreciated. Thanks.

Petrol?, a pretty rare engine in the Navara D40, most of them seem to be in SA. (Quite common in the US Frontier D40 though)
It could be a number of things, are the plugs/filters reasonably new? It might be worth having a look at the Club Frontier forum to see if this is a common V6 issue.

Yes petrol. Thanks will also post there, I bought it second hand and I see the plugs on the one side seem to be some work to change so not sure when last done maybe worth replacing soon to see if any difference. Almost like not igniting fast enough then a build up of fuel mixture causing initial high revs is this possible?
