Hi, I have a 2005 Pathfinder that I have been told is the same gearbox as a Navara, the problem is at the moment it is stuck in 4wd low, I have been told there is an activator at the back of the gearbox that can be removed and by using a large screwdriver you can switch from low to 2wd, is this possible?, I have had my local Nissan dealer check this out and they tell me I need a new transfer box for £3000 plus fitting + vat, surely there is a cheaper way of doing this. In Pathfinder the transfer box and actuator are very different from the Nav.
Check if the brake lights are working.
