Hi

I have a Navara N Guard coming in November and am trying to decide on a Tonneau cover. I like the idea of a Roller shutter but have heard they can be difficult to keep water tight, not sure if this is still the case with the drain installed (which I would obviously do)? I would consider an ali lift cover if it meant a more reliable seal.

Thanks in advance!

I am also awaiting my N Guard which has been pushed back to the end of November delivery.
My choice is the pro form sport lid and roll bar from 4x4at.com

Tonneau covers tend to be waterproof, although you do get a pool of water on them when parked.
Roller shutters can be waterproof but often leak. Much easier to access the whole bed though.
Hard covers tend not to leak much, probably the default option.

two of my colleagues have roll covers on their n-guards and they are certainly not water tight..... during the heavy rain last week when they pulled off the car park, there was a huge trail of water pouring out of the back.... I have a Nissan premium hard top fitted to mine and while not 100% water tight, is much better. I get the odd puddle at the cab end if parking nose down.
