Not a Navara, this is probably a Fuso or Hino 4WD truck. But if you’ve never seen what a bushfire looks like and can’t understand why you shouldn’t drive through one, watch the link (you may need a Facebook account).


Most people who die in bushfires panic when the fire arrives, drive into this, and get stuck when they come across fallen trees across the road, or another car without lights.

The fire crews driving in this have self-protection systems fitted to their trucks (body sprinklers and thermal blankets to cover all glass; you can see these in the clip) and there will be an airborne command and control aircraft taking thermal imagery to measure flame front temps before they’re allowed in.

They are all volunteers.

**** thats exactly what i imagine driving to hell would look like!
It takes a serious pair of brass ones to do that voluntary!

Without these brave guys putting their lives on the line, many more people, properties and animals would lose their lives. Thank you, and well done !!
