Alrighty, just got car back from mechanics for oil leaking from turbo oil return and now once the cars warm at idle, it’ll start pouring lots of white smoke everywhere. What could cause this and what’s some troubleshooting I can do? Had the turbo replaced about 40,000km ago so unless I’ve done another turbo whst else could be going wrong? Cheers

It would suggest over fuelling, was the turbo a good quality one?
Turbo was replaced by the mechanic, I’ll try find the paperwork to find what turbo was installed, never had an issue with white smoke like this until the turbo drain leak was fixed so thought it must’ve been something along those lines

Alright so just been driving and turned the car off and noticed a rattle sound coming from the turbo when spooling down from idle. Going to take off the airbox pipe today and check for how much play the turbine has. Also the white smoke smells like burning oil so don’t think it would be over fuelling. Cheers!

Possible the "new" turbo is second hand and just as bad as the one he swaped?
