My Nav Tek was ordered in Aug with delivery promised in October. This was put back to Nov 11 and is now supposed to be Dec 6. Dealer [Yeomans, Worthing] said this was due to a problem with a vacuum pump . Getting a bit impatient now. Is this a big problem ?
Are there any future implications with this ?
Hooray - Nissan have finally cought up with us, they finally kmow about the vacuum pumps!arthur said:Evening All,

Hi and welcome, i'm sure it'll be worth the wait :wink:daveymitch@me.com said:Brand new boy to this forum!!!! only found it whist trying to find out about my delayed Tekna. Not a happy teddy me!!!!! Expected 22/10, then told 28/10 now told maybe mid to late December!!!! Ouch!! At least they have hired a vehicle for me until I take delivery, however a Renault Traffic hire van does nothing for a mans street cred. Anybody heard what progress Nissan are making with the VacuumPump replacements? Will we see our shiny new toys before Father Christmas wakes up?
Good luck y'all
Dave

Where my truck is I don't know. The guy I have been dealing with is off at the moment. I always got the impression it was on its way over. My present Navara is only two years old and is being taken in px so I am not stuck for transport , its just bloody annoying. If it keeps getting put back I'll think seriously about getting a VW Amarok when they finally arrive.sheepy said:arthur said:Evening All,

Welcome to the 'boat', there are a few of us in it already! Seems to be all 4 cylinder Navaras built after 6th Sept are to have the vacuum pump changed before they are delivered to customers, some that were already driving theirs had them recalled. Once the vacuum pump is changed over to a good one ther shouldn't be any future implications (at least I'm hoping NOT!)
Do you know if yours is actually at the dealers, in a holding compound, or still on its way to the UK?

Lil'Trucker! said:I must have been quite lucky with Nissan CS over the years?
Whenever i had to speak to them regarding anny issues they've always treated me just as you'd expect a customer to be treated?
I only ever had one experience with them that wasn't good, i must have got the new boy on the phone at the time, after i'd put him straight on a few things everything was fine.
Just recently i had something done that the warranty dept made excuses about, but CS agreed to sort it out, and they phoned me every couple of days to see how progress was going, and if i was happy. By that time my truck was then out of warranty, but they treated me just the same.
I know all cases and experiences are different, but they've always done right by me
Ah, dealers, now that's a whole different kettle of fish! :shock:bigbense said:Lil'Trucker! said:I must have been quite lucky with Nissan CS over the years?
