Question 4 all those with Harmon Kardon Drive & Play Fitted

Have any of you with the Harmon Kardon drive and Play fitted noticed a drop in radio reception.

The reception in my truck is pretty rubbish since this has been fitted.

Can a signal booster be purchased & fitted??

have you connected the blue wires on the airel adaptor?? mine was the same untill my mate sorted it, he said the blue wire is for the airel amplfier. if you look at the airel you will see a wire wrapped round the airel.. ;)

ahh right........ I have to confess i didnt actually fit it so i dont know (fitted the one in my dads Disco 3, but got some one else to do my nav as i was working all the time), i will have a look when im back from uni and see what its all about, shouldnt be too hard with the "How to" thread on getting all the trim off.

Yes it gets better once the unit is turned off, but still not great

Havnt tried yet, this weekend.....well since thursday has been mad at work, really long hours. Hopefully only a half day tomorrow so will have a go.

Little bit of a thread resurection here but here it goes,

I did this tonight, only it didnt work..... i connected the two blue wires together and nothing changed, so i then disconnected the harmon kardon fm transmitter and connected the aerial back up directly (but with the aerial connection adaptors)
This allowed the radio to work properly (still no change disconnecting the blue wires or not)
But the very strange thing is that even though the harmon kardon fm transmitter is totally disconnected from the aerial, and radio it still seems to work perfectly well.............admittedly though this is all sat still on my drive so may all be unfolded when im driving down the road!!
