Re: Tyre Size( Once and for all please)

mine is currently rolling on 205/70/R16 (how pathetic, right?)

a 245 75 16 would sound nice and would give the truck a beefier look (considering they are practically new, I wanna get rid of them asap).

i'm looking at slapping AT's on. Any suggestions on brand and model?

Spoke to Mark Harvey at Formula4

He now stocks the 255/65 R 17 Yokohama Geolandar GO12 A/T-S 110H RBL

http://www.formula4.co.uk/products/Prod ... erProduct=

A perfect straight swap for the Goodyears, if you want an ALL TERRAIN tyre, and NO ISSUES with wrongly sized tyres on your pride and joy!

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE

10% on all items marked E to P in their catalogue
7.5% on all wheels and all tyres.

Currently FREE shipping across Mainland UK too. (you'll have to get a local fitter to fit, but many of them do it)
I've had these Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S (255/65 R17 110H) on two D40's now and I think that they're the muts nuts!
I did originally consider having the nearest size BFG AT's fitted, but my insurance company weren't happy with that idea (you should check with them first) due to the size increase against the original size!

The fact that the Geolandars are exactly the same size and speed rating as the Nav's originals meant that there were no insurance implications. As we know, they will look for ANY reason to get away from making a pay-out and oversized tyres is a good reason in their eyes.

The Geolandar's are very good on and off road :thumbright: 10/10 :thumbleft:

I'll go along with that the Geo's seem very good no probs with the snow or wet conditions Geo's for me

Re: Tyre Size( Once and for all please)

Hi

I ran Geolanders on my old Nav D40 and had a set fitted to the rear of this on the day before the snow came. The lady who works in the office has been driving it about during the snow (she normally drives a one series BMW) as I’ve been away and she had no problems.
I never noticed any difference on fuel or road noise in the old Nav, if you want fuel economy don't buy one with a euro 4 engine

There reviews seem to rate them very well in all areas with good road ability too which is very important to me. Don't want a bone breaking ride or wrong sized tyres! :D

Re: Tyre Size( Once and for all please)

Guys,

Currently My stock Tires 255 70 R 16 is nearly worn out.... I'm thinking Purchase Michelin tires Latitude cross.... 255 65 R 16 or 265 70 R 16......which i should go ? i dun really mind about the speedometer reading, i wonder batter acceleration from Tires profile reduce to 65......it's good ????...as Wider tires more fuel consumption ???
