D22 Blown engines / Conrods

After alot of talk on here about engines blowing, I'm starting to get a bit paranoid..

how many peoples engines have blown, and at what age / mileage / service interval ?

is this something to worry about or is it just the odd few Nav's ?

I have a 2005 Nav Sport, never been an ounce of bother.. (yet)

help!

(its not mine its a customers) nissan wont honour the warranty because he missed one service

thats why i have decided to go toyota next time.as i said before i think 60% engine failure is a myth. nissan wouldnt be able to get away with that.

well, all reviews state that the build quality is pretty bombproof, but whoknows ?

think I may be going back to subaru..

nah,

had an impreza before, think I may get another.. quite fancy a newage STi..

not to your lots taste I'm sure, but very good motors, had my last one for about 3yrs, and it never gave me any bother..

would of thought so, know alot of people who have blown their impreza's in the past.. usually down to poorly planned modifications..
