Sub zero temperatures have returned to NE Scotland, my windows keep freezing and cant open them, you can hear/see them moving just but takes about 20 minutes before the come down, any idea why this happens as i have never came across this with any other car.

Quite a common problem with some vehicles. DO NOT try to lower a frozen window. The mechanism can come detached from the glass allowing it to drop into the door. :shock:
 
I've not yet owned a vehicle that hasn't had frozen windows at some time or another, it's just one of those things that we have to deal with as and when it arises!.......(or lowers, lol)

From my experience, "Rainex" will not cure the problem!

yes yeah they will all freeze up at some point but some are alot better than others.

nissan pathfinder - freeze up and cant open any window whereas my wifes seat ibiza sat next to it on the drive windows will freely open no issues!! and its 5yrs older

definatley better german engineering. the small spanish car generally feels better made than the nissan.


things to help:
as mentioned above some vasaline on the rubbers (havnt done this on the pathy yet)
rainx - spray onto clean windows and helps stop the frost sticking to the glass

fine until i get to work and have to open my window to swip the security pass. :roll:
owe its frozen - so ill open my door :oops: bloody locks playing up again and it dont open :partycheer: i luv my nissan :lol:
