Hello chaps, having a problem that is driving me up the wall.

Behind the rear passenger side seat there is a squeaking noise every time I brake and it's doing my head in. When ever the car rocks forward during braking I get this squeaking. Usually at low speeds coming up to traffic lights etc.

I've examined every area all around the seat areas, front, back, under over etc and can't find anything that's loose and if I rock the truck I can't reproduce the sound. I've jammed the back of the seat with pillows and cushions, bits of cardboard to no avail.

Anyone else had this problem and can offer any insight as to what would be causing this squeaking.

Thanks in advance.

I have that problem. But what my problem is, is the tub is rubbing off the cab which has actually worn down paint. I'm in dispute with Nissan at the moment to get the cab resprayed as it's their fault. One side of the tub is 5/8 of an inch closer than the other. So it's on crooked and any bump andnstuff makes it rub which causes a squeak.

I've had Nissan tighten everything. The even turned the tub that it was the opposite. As in instead onthe left side being short. The right side was short instead. All that did was rub a tiny bit if paint off then seemed to settle back in it's normal position after a month or so.

I think it's something in the seats or something to do with the plastic panel that goes right up against the back of the cab. When my 10 year old sits on the passenger side rear seat the noise goes away usually so it must be something inside the seat!!

This is driving me mad!!!!!

hi man,

mine did the same sound..the first time it was from the catch that holds the back of the seat in position i sprayed wd40 oil and all good...until i was hearing the same noise but a little bit different if you don't notice it you think its the same noise, and apparently its my leaf springs that do that noise..and you think its from inside...

i hope that helps...
