Hey Guys

Some of you may have seen a few of my posts over the last week, mainly the typical pre-ownership questions. Well anyway I picked up my Nav today  No one replied to my request for buying tips so if this goes wrong I'm blaming you lot

Anyway here are some pics:

I do have a quick question that I'd really love some help with. How interchangeable are parts between the Pre and Post facelift D22's? I need to buy a tow bar and a replacement fuel cap (locks broken on this one) Just wondered if I need to stipulate Pre-Facelift on my searches?

The rear bumper is a little bit out of shape :? And to be honest it looks a lot better in the pics than it is. Dont get me wrong, for an 11yr old truck its bloody good, but it has got the odd ding in places. No rust that I've seen so far though 8) I looked at two today, the first one was a right dog compared to this. Literally had holes in both rear wings from rust. It pulled to the left when driving and stunk of ****. This ones spot on :clappy:

Thanks for the kind words guys :thumbleft:

yd turbo engine or ? 2.5 2.7 3.2 cc series ?? (1998-2004)
This is an interesting question as it turns out. Just looking at the log book it looks like this may have been an import? It mentions an SVA cert which I understand is only relevant when importing? Anyway on the front of the log book the SVA mentions Turbo Diesel 3.0 (M-1) But inside it states 2494cc

Any idea how I can confirm?

Just been to get it taxed, I was pleasantly surprised when it was just ÂŁ110 for 6 months. My girlfriend just paid ÂŁ245 for the year for her Beetle!!

I've also ordered a Witter Tow Bar inc dedicated wiring kit and also a Stebel Nautilus Chrome airhorn - lets face it, the standard horn is borderline embarrassing :)

Next on the list is to find some spotlamps. The standard lights are not nearly as good as the Delicas, so need to improve the main beam at least. To improve dip beam I'm tempted to fit HIDs, but without the level adjustment I'm worried about blinding oncoming drivers when towing :/ Maybe some better halogen bulbs would be a good compromise
